Unlike when the Medal of Honor online services shut down, it's unlikely that many fans are going to be too upset about Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and Warp losing their online services. After May 15, fans can expect the online features for both games across to cease across PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Despite being a single-player game, Kingdoms of Amalur featured an online pass that would grant players extra content, whereas Warp featured online leaderboards. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is primarily a single-player action-RPG, whereas Warp is a single-player puzzle/stealth game. Luckily, the latest EA-published games getting their online services canned didn't have extensive online options anyway. The Medal of Honor games boast extensive online multiplayer features, so it was especially disappointing for fans to see their services end. Numerous EA games are expected to have their online services shut down later this year or have already had the plug pulled. For years now, Electronic Arts has clued fans in on when exactly it plans on shutting down the online services for its various video games, so while it's always sad to see it happen, at least fans get advanced notice.ĮA's running list of games it has shut down the online services for or has already shut down the services for is extensive enough to require three web pages.
